The 10,000-hour rule is a concept popularized by Malcolm Gladwell in his 2008 book Outliers: The Story of Success. This is a great book. IMO it was an eye-opening read that dove into some insanely talented humans and charted a path from the birth of their interest to the series of circumstances that lead to them just absolutely crushing it in their fields. One common denominator being that most people that are truly experts in something have spent about 10,000 hours perfecting and honing in on their skills.

If you’re anything like me, you’re building a brand and focused on goals, you’re learning as you grow and evolving over time. & even if that doesn’t paint a picture of where you’re at in this moment, odds are you’ve put your 10,000 hours in somewhere. Odds are you are an expert at something and you have a unique voice and experience that can benefit someone else. You just need to connect with the right people to be heard.
