Building a Brand With Vision: Make Meaningful Connections That Resonate

The Importance of Values and Missions

I personally believe that as entrepreneurs, we have a responsibility to build brands that provide value to the world. “Providing value” can look different to everyone, and that’s the beauty of it. We are creatives. We are problem solvers. Your mission and your values should be unique to your why.

Your brand foundation (purpose, mission, vision, and values) creates a guide that allows you to make strategic decisions as you grow and evolve. When you remind yourself of why you exist and how you wish to act, you ensure that you’re heading in the direction of your goals.

But here’s what you need to realize when it comes to Purpose and Missions and Visions and Values - they are your long-term strategy to success. If your goal is to create a brand that people connect with, talk about, and want to see succeed, you have to connect with them on a deeper level than the products and services that you offer.

If I like your product, I’ll buy it once - but don’t think I won’t switch to a different brand as soon as they come out with a cheaper dupe. If I like you, like really build a connection to you because we believe in and represent similar things, I’ll support you always. I’ll follow you as you pivot to different offerings and services. Hell, I’ll follow you across town and go out of my way to get to you, because you mean something to me.

Values and Missions and being outspoken about what you believe in are your path to meaning something to someone.

Remaining consistent in what you represent, how you act, and the decisions you make keep you authentic. Authenticity breeds connection. Connection means more people are supporting you as you grow & evolve.

Building Meaningful Connections

Ultimately, success in life comes down to who you know. I’ve heard this statement hundreds of times, but it truly began to resonate with me as soon as I started to align myself with opportunities, brands, and people that align with me on a deeper level, a foundational level. When you share your values and act by them, you create a community of supporters who align with you on an emotional level. You create a tribe of advocates who are deeply invested in and rooting for your success.

Together, we can create brands that not only achieve success, but make a meaningful, positive difference in the lives of our supporters.

Until next time,
