Is Your Brand in Check? It’s Time for a Brand Audit!

WHYYYY Do I Need a Brand Audit?!

Although the word ‘audit’ may leave you feeling a bit triggered, this one can be quite fun! Taking a holistic view of your brand assets and your visual identity can help you spot problem areas and identity a path to improvement.

Improvement = better offerings = more success!

An EOY brand audit will help you evaluate how your brand is being perceived. It allows you to check for consistency, identify gaps, and reinforce your kickass brand identity.

How to Conduct Your Brand Audit

To get started with this fantastic audit experience, you’ll need to collect all of your brand materials - I’m talking pull up your website, social accounts, brand collateral, marketing materials, and all things that you send out in the world to visually represent your brand.

Next, we’re going to check these things for the following -

CHECK FOR CONSISTENCY

Go through and check for consistency across your materials. Make sure you’re using the appropriate logo, color palette, fonts, and messaging. When you show up the same way across different platforms and materials, it communicates authenticity and builds trust with your audience.

UPDATE MATERIALS AND MESSAGING

For the sake of transparency and appearing authentic AF, you need to make sure your current offerings are aligned across your materials. Nobody wants to reach out to you expecting a certain price just to find out they stumbled across an outdated offering that isn’t available. Maybe your brand voice and messaging has evolved over the years and it’s time to update those outdated materials to reflect your growth.

FOLLOW YOUR LINKS

Dead links drive us crazyyyyy! Take the time to act like your end user, go through your social accounts and your website and click through it all. Make sure your links are still active and your online presence is easy to understand and navigate.

GOOGLE YOURSELF

I guarantee by the time I finish my audit this year, I’ll have stumbled across a social account from the past covered in cobwebs or an important piece of press that I totally forgot about. Google your brand and scan through the links. Are there some comments you could have been replying to, some offerings you’re leaving on the table, or outdated offerings from a long-forgotten post - tighten them up!

IDENTIFY GAPS

Identify areas where your brand is falling short. Create a list of to-dos to tackle so that you can start the new year fresh and dressed to impress.

Your Brand Will Thank You!

I get it - Life is busy! But your brand audit will be well worth the time it takes! Set aside time to conduct your audit - whether it’s a few hours across the next few weeks or a whole day, make it a priority. Together, we can make sure your brand is not just seen, but truly connects with your tribe.

Cheers friend,
